An Art Exhibition not to be missed in Vancouver - Magical Oaxaca

"Mexico is the most surrealist country in the world" this is what Andre Breton the founder of Surrealism said in his first visit to Mexico.

The fantastical creature sculptures called "alebrijes" are a clear representation of this expression. They are from the Mexican state of Oaxaca, and are part of the "Magical Oaxaca" exhibition at the PERA Gallery in Vancouver from Sep. 7th. to 16th.
