The following plaque is located at the Granville Island Fisherman's Wharf:

"Greenpeace launched its first action 

from False Creek on September 15, 1971

 when activists set sail on board the

 Phyllis Cormack for Amchitka, Alaska

 to protest nuclear testing.

Greenpeace opened its first office at 2007 (now 2009) 4th. Ave. and Maple St. in Kitsilano, Vancouver. Bimini's Public House Restaurant located in front of Greenpeace former first office has an arrange of pictures of the 70's some by Gregory Melle and some of the founders of Greenpeace.
