We are celebrating that our acclaimed Mexican writer and journalist Elena Poniatowska has been awarded with the 2013 Cervantes prize. This is the most prestigious literary award for the Spanish language literature.
We are also celebrating that she is receiving the prestigious Mexican Fine Arts Medal awarded to outstanding well-known persons from the culture of Mexico, as a distinction due to the development of an artistic work with a clear impact that benefits the promotion and dissemination of the arts in the country.

Spot Prawn season kicks off in British Columbia with the Annual Spot Prawn Festival. This event is organized by the Chefs´ Table Society of British Columbia at the Wharf Fishermen west of Granville Island in Vancouver. Hundreds of people gather at this festival where the City's top chefs prepare fresh-off-the-boat  BC Spot prawns. The public are able to buy live, locally sourced, and sustainable prawns direct off the dock and enjoy live music and some other activities.

The season last till middle of June, so, you have the opportunity to buy live, locally sourced and sustainable prawn direct off the dock.
